Charleston Fest is a labor of love for the fast living, Prohibition defying, swinging folk of the Coolidge and Hoover years…while also giving back to the community. This is Charleston Fest’s inaugural year and they are encouraging maximum participation by providing bands, dancing, costume and dance contests, and specially priced cocktails for a suggested donation of $10. That's only one sawbuck!
Charleston Fest represents a new type of fundraising event for Friday Night Before Mardi Gras. Smaller, and specially-themed, they are events thrown by independent members of the community. Promising an interesting and fun time, organizers of these events also pledge to donate their proceeds to support Friday Night Before Mardi Gras, a true win-win.
Charleston Fest is an evening event that takes place on March 5th, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Spitfire, a bar located in the lower Quarter at 1135 Decatur Street, New Orleans 70116. Tickets will be sold at the door. More information is available here: http://www.CharlestonFestNola.com
