FNBMG Proudly Announces Its 2010 FNBMG
Annual Extravaganza Grant Recipients.
Proceeds from the Cirque du Sogay Extravaganza XI on February 12, 2010
will be awarded to the following charitable organizations:

AIDSLaw of Louisiana
is a state-wide non-profit public interest law firm dedicated to
assisting HIV-positive individuals with the legal matters related
to their HIV status such as obtaining Social Security benefits and
estate planning.

Belle Reve New Orleans
Works toward enhancing the quality of life, and
promoting just and equitable access to care which are the founding
principles of Belle Reve. Belle Reve provides permanent and transitional
housing and supportive services to adults and families living with
HIV/AIDS who are homeless of have no one to care for them.

Buzzy’s Boys and Girls – The William J. Fanning Foundation
Is completely dependent on donations and
volunteers to carry on its work and operates
without any overhead expenses. All donations go directly toward
helping those in need by providing
prescription medicine, medical equipment and supplies, eyeglasses,
personal items and clothing throughout
the year.

Forum for Equality Foundation
Is an advocate of HIV
education and funding and along with other HIV/AIDS service organizations,
is sponsoring the upcoming HIV Awareness Music Project Fest and
other events. FFE is dedicated to promoting the health and welfare
of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender population through
lobbying efforts and education and information programs available
to all.

NO/AIDS Task Force – Food for Friends
serves
a 12-parish area in southeast Louisiana. Food for Friends delivers
meals to those unable to prepare their own meals and operates a
food pantry for those who do not have the resources to meet their
nutritional needs.

Project Lazarus
Is
dedicated to provide to all people living with AIDS who can no longer
live independently or
whose family and friends can no longer care for them. The highest
goal of Project Lazarus is to enhance the quality of life of those
it serves. Project Lazarus continuously
adds to the overall scope of care to its residents.

LGBT Community Center of New Orleans
It
is a Louisiana nonprofit corporation and is established as a 501C3
charitable organization. The center is an all volunteer organization
and operates solely on the support of the community to serve the
visitors to and residents of the greater New Orleans area.

FNBMG always
reserves the right to add additional grant recipients at a later date.
This possibility largely depends on revenues generated during
Extravaganza XII on March 4, 2011.

Since Mardi Gras 2000, FNBMG
has raised and given more than $115,000 to charities such as
Belle
Reve New Orleans, United
Services for AIDS, Food
for Friends,
AIDS
Law of Louisiana and the New
Orleans AIDS Memorial Monument.

2011 CHARITIES PROPOSAL SOLUTIONS
AIDS and HIV service organizations interested
in being considered for a FNBGM grant now
or in the future should submit an application to fnbmg@cox.net.

Henry presented a $2,000 check to
Project Lazarus Executive Direct, Eric Oleson and Director of Development,
Steve Rivera.

During the August meeting of the FNBMG Board
of Directors, President Billy Henry presented FNBMG checks totaling $9,800
to the charities selected as recipients. Receiving the grant checks were
Noel Twilbeck, CEO of NO/AIDS Task Force, and Stacy LaFleur, Executive
Director of AIDS Law of Louisiana.

On August 1, 2008, FNBMG Board of Directors
presented checks totaling $5,000 to AIDS and HIV service organizations.
On the back row from left to right are members of the FNBMG Board members
Edwin Potratz Chapman, Robert White, Mel Kossover, Ron Issler, Christian
Rountree and Marshall Fisher. On the front row from left to right are
representatives of the recipient organizations as noted: Susan Levingston
(New Orleans AIDS Memorial Committee), Stacy LaFleur (AIDS Law of Louisiana),
